Averaen is the Oregon label for Banshee, a California producer famous for their rich expressions of Pinot Noir from their holdings in the Sonoma Coast range. The Eola Springs vineyard was among the first planted in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA and produces some of the boldest expressions of Pinot in the Willamette Valley. Farmed organically, the estate grows a variety of Pinot Noir clones that make up the classic expression of Oregon Pinot Noir. This boldness is emphasized by the team at Banshee and delivers a dark fruited expression that speaks to the Californian influence in their winemaking.
