Tucked into the forest in the farthest north section of the Willamette Valley, Apollini Estate has been the driving force behind the new Tualatin Hills AVA. Farming organically without irrigation the estate is run by Alfredo and Laurine Apolloni on primarily Laurelwood soils. Their estate’s position in the Willamette Valley gives them one of the longest growing seasons which manifests itself in slow, even ripening. Their Pinot Gris exemplifies this beautifully and sees a mixed fermentation in Stainless steel and acacia barrel, resulting in a rounded texture, crunchy fruit profile and crisp acidity.
